“No one ever said success would be easy. My dad taught me that if you want to accomplish anything, well, you needed to work hard to attain it. Growing up, there were a lot of things I wanted to do, dreams that every little girl has. In time I had to grow up fast after the accident of my father’s, suddenly my childhood, the end of my teenage years, the hopes of going to college and living the life like all of us should experience changed….
And I am okay with that because the whole reason I am even here today as the woman I am is because of Raymond Rice. It helped me in EMERGE, it taught me a lot on how to deal with adversity and the pressures of the wrestling business. When I was dropped on my head by Mika Kozlov, it did legit scare me that maybe I was in over my head. When Dylan Cent seemed to have my number in every match, we were in whether he won or loss, I didn’t think I could overcome a former SCW Superstar. Walking into Rise to Greatness and facing Kandis made me nervous. So many thoughts going through my head, was I even good enough to be center stage at the biggest event of the year, walking out in front of this huge crowd, the fifteen year anniversary against a woman that had pinned me before…..
And this was my test, the chance to find out if I was ready or not.
I won, that didn’t mean I was prepared, there was more work to be done, working my way up until there was nothing left to prove in EMERGE leaving as the undefeated champion, boy how things change when you level up! I came to the SCW and in my first match I wasn’t victorious. It’s okay, a great moment to get over those butterflies in my stomach, the toughest match is always your first. I can appreciate what Mr. Goddard did for me. Taught a valuable lesson, do not judge a book by its cover. It was nice to see sportsmanship, to know that he had my back because right now with everything that is going on in the SCW….
It’s a scary place for a gal like me who refuses to choose the side of those that are in power.
I have seen it in the UWA, TSN or EMERGE, all promotions that I was in whether for a few matches or a year, there were the ups and the downs. I try to be a positive person, I believe in the human heart, I think everyone is a well-natured person on the inside yet sometimes they are caught up with appearances. Mr. D pulled me to the side, and shocked as I was, wanted to give me a little advice, to find my own niche, so that I don’t get lost in the shuffle, standout, he’s right though there are too many “Pretty” ladies in this company, beauty is all over the place. I didn’t know much better, it was all I was ever told, never did it fathom on me until I came to the SCW…..
So maybe it was time to be me.

FINDING PEYTON RICE
No one was more excited and honored than to be on the SCW roster than the woman known as Peyton Rise. For most of her tenure in the ring, since she made her debut in early 2017, the young progeny who was trained and graduated top of the class from Ante Up Academy under the tutelage of David Helms and some of the best wrestlers in the business had made a name for herself in the UWA and then at EMERGE being the undefeated Champion. Peyton had reached a moment where she needed to make a decision and with the help of General Manager, Vanilla Skyy, her mentors Kelcey Wallace and David Helms, they convinced the young 22-year-old that it was time to finally take her place in the SCW Roster.
She did so and the gorgeous Rice came with fanfare, excited the fans, they were ready to see her perform against some of the best and it would only be a matter of time before the talented and high flying, highlight reel, the absolute fastest woman in wrestling would be doing this in SCW arenas. What Peyton did not know was that Mr. D would take a quick liking to her and approach the young star, talk to her about her “Gimmick”, that of “Pretty Perfect” where the SCW was peppered with beauty, he wanted to see her stand out, not rely so much on that beauty and instead rely more on her skills and the charismatic, positive personality she had…..
Because Peyton Rice was genuine, not a fake.
She appreciated life, the gifts of opportunity, the chance to be something. She would stop and sign EVERY autograph, talk to EVERY fan, go out of her way to those that came to watch her in action, she loved giving back and it was therapy for her to, made her fell good to know that people cared that she did as well. Peyton though found herself in a bit of a dilemma. She really took Mr. D’s comments to heart.

It was South Beach, Peyton had never been here before, Miami was paradise, the weather was warm, flip flops and shorts, she loved it but for the beautiful progeny, she found herself in a South Beach hotel staring at the mirror. Barefoot, wearing workout shorts and a tank top, her hair slicked back in a ponytail and nails a French manicure and pedicure. Her eyes narrowed before speaking at her reflection….
Peyton: “Do you know who I am? Can you see the evil inside of me? No…. that’s stupid, I can’t totally sell that. Let me try something else. Okay here we go….. I am Pretty, I am Princess Pretty! Look at me and you will see….. something so totally stupid… argh!”
She shakes her head, obviously frustrated, pacing some before finally taking a step back and a moment to look into the camera and continue to speak….
Peyton: “My name…. is “Priceless” Peyton Rice and no one can put a tag on me! I….. man, I sound so stupid.”
Peyton sighs and looks around for outfits, finding a gimmick was a lot harder than even she had imagined. She sees something and starts to think….
What is next?
What can I be?

Being in Orlando was fun for Peyton, it was a chance to get around and have a good time though things were not going so well in the relationship department. For the last few years Peyton had been dating Ricky Octavius, another graduate from Ante Up, a young and charismatic wrestler who was in the Taking Hold of the Flame Battle Royal a few years ago and made a great impression. Many thought, that after the UWA, Ricky was going to blow up and become a top star. After the UWA closed, he decided to go on and do some modeling projects, heal some wounds and join the Beauty Factory. That all happened after he and Peyton split. She was upset that Ricky was doubting and questioning the friendship her and Jason Dillinger had, the Man of the Century and competing in EMERGE. What Peyton didn’t know was that Jason Dillinger always had a crush on the young beauty, he was willing to pay a man by the name of Alistair Taylor to sabotage the relationship between Pey and Ricky, making Octavius look like the bad guy and while Ricky didn’t handle it well, it was too much drama for Peyton and she ended the relationship though they still stayed cordial….
One person that took this personal was Owen Cruze. The young prodigy and son of Orlando was friends with Ricky, he didn’t like what had happened. Owen also took a liking to Peyton, she was like a sister to him, he really enjoyed her company, they had fun together, always joking around and just being a great partnership. Peyton took the role of big sister when Orlando died, since then they became extremely close. After Owen had his moment on the lake, he met up with Peyton at Universal City walk to grab a bite to eat and maybe get a round in of Putt-Putt Golf. Peyton was to meet up for dinner and spend the evening hanging out with Chris and Kelcey at the Lake Baldwin condo. Wearing jeans, thong sandals and a white halter top, her nails a French Mani/Pedi and her long hair hanging down, she met up with Owen who was in jeans, a button up untucked shirt and sneakers….
Peyton: “Hey you!”
Owen: “Pey! I’m so glad you called me, I was out fishing and chilling out at the lake with Uncle Shaun.”
Peyton: “That’s awesome, how did it go?”
Owen: “It went great. Lots of memories but I am good now. What is going on? Ready to get your ass handed to you in Putt Putt?”
Peyton: “Oh whatever! Yeah okay.”
Owen: “The alien one is pretty cool…”
Owen and Peyton pay for the Putt Putt, they get their golf clubs and balls, Peyton’s pink and Owen’s a light blue. The two go to the first course, they play the round, Peyton stands ready to shoot, Owen stands behind her and positions her correctly…
Peyton: “Aww, giving me lessons!?”
Owen: “Somebody has to. The last thing I want is to embarrass you Pey.”
Peyton: “Oh really? Let’s see about that. So how are you and Jaina doing? Good I hope, she’s adorable.”
Owen: “We are doing great! I mean better than great to be honest. I love her so much and yeah, I mean that sounds funny cause we are so young and all, people think that we don’t know what love is but yeah, I don’t care.”
Peyton: “Owen, now don’t go off getting married so soon now, there is always time for that down the road.”
Owen: “Ha ha! Really, do I look like the kind of guy that is going to go out and getting himself married at nineteen?”
Peyton: “Hmmmm…. yeah!”
Owen: “Oh whatever, give me a little credit.”
Peyton: “Dude, you are so going to marry her like soon!”
Owen: “No… no… no! What about you?”
She makes a quirky look, deep in thought….
Peyton: “Getting married? No.”
Owen: “I meant your relationship, love life?”
Peyton: “I don’t know. Jason and I have been talking though it’s been a few days, I was not happy with what he did in EMERGE making a deal with that douchebag, Dexter Schmidt. I have been told by various people also that I can’t trust him, I mean there was this guy, Alistair…. Taylor? Some bodyguard and he came up to me and said that J-Dilly paid him off to run off Ricky, J-Dilly wouldn’t do that…. Right?”
Owen with a wide-eyed sigh, says nothing and putts the ball into the little space ship with the Alien staring….
Peyton: “Wait…. OMG, you do!? Owen!”
Owen: “Pey, I care about you, you’re like one of my best friends and like an older sister that is just way too hot to be a Cruze. Anyway, like I was saying before I rudely interrupted myself by being a dork, you and Ricky were the “IT” couple. You two treated me like I belonged. It was awesome and he’s a good guy. Honestly, I could never see him hurting you, or doing the things he was accused of as for Jason? I could, he is a cool guy but seems to me like he’s a snake. I wouldn’t be telling you this Pey if I didn’t care.”
Peyton: “I know Owen, it’s just I feel stupid.”
They stop playing, Owen can sense that Peyton is a getting a little frustrated with the conversation and the notion that the guy she has been dating could be doing some really shady things on the side…..
Owen: “Pey, I didn’t mean to make you upset.,”
Peyton: “No, that’s not it, you are not making me upset Owen, you are telling me the same thing others are and I don’t understand? Am I that naïve? Am I too nice? Do I not see the warning signs? So wrapped up trying to believe the good in others and giving them the benefit of the doubt that I totally surpass what is happening in front of me!? I mean, my dad did not raise a stupid kid, Owen….”
Owen: “Pey, you are FAR from stupid. But you are right, my dad was the same way, he saw the good in people, he didn’t care about the bad. Look at my stepmom, Uncle Shaun, they really hurt him but that didn’t stop him from loving them unconditionally. That is you Pey, you are such a genuine person, I know you may not think that but its true and yeah, people will take your kindness for weakness.”
She shrugs her shoulder and lowers her head dejected at the thought someone that she loves like Jason would do something like that to her. At the same time what had happened to Ricky and where he is at today. She sighs, ready to sob…..
Owen: “No, this is not about being down, this is not about THEM, this is about us having a good time tonight. I gave you my opinion, that is what I feel about him but ultimately you are the one that makes the final decision Pey, you are the one who chooses who you want to date. We are just trying to look out for you.”
Peyton: “Well, I am trying to look out for you too Owen and…..”
Peyton shoots a hole in one on the 4th course….
Peyton: “…and ummmm…. Hole in One bucko!”
Owen: “Oh come on! Are you serious!?”
Peyton: “Thanks for the tip though what you didn’t know was that I was the Arizona state Putt Putt Champion.”
Owen: “Get out, really!?”
Peyton: “No….’
She starts to laugh, Owen shakes his head, rolls his eyes and then starts laughing with her. They continue to play through the courses having a good time. It was nice to spend an evening with a close friend, the wrestling business especially the SCW these days has put a lot of stress on those that are not on Katya’s side. Owen Cruze has been going through a lot, he’s been jumped, lost a few close matches and been a part of Katya’s plan to tear him down. Peyton is still new, she is in the feeling out process but in time…..
Things are going to change quickly because she is not going to stand for what is happening to her friend, anymore.

It was met with a half-smile and at the same time, a short frown. She thought about her good friend before placing her hands on those fit hips and sighing. She had on a Cheerleading outfit, it was the one she wore at the University of Arizona, the Wildcats. A slight puff of air slipped from her lips, aimed up her face, blowing a few strands of hair from her gorgeous features.
She looked flustered….
Peyton: “Okay…. Here we go! Gimme a P! Gimme an E! Gimme a Y! Gimme a T! Gimme an O! Gimme an N! what does that spell!?……..
She jumps up a few times doing cheerleading moves before stopping and staring in the mirror….
Peyton: “It spells MORON!”
Peyton throws her pom poms down and storms off, untying her hair and thinking what is next for her ideas of a new gimmick right now are terrible……

Peyton had fun with Owen, it was nice to catch up, at the same time it was a bit eye-opening to hear his comments on her situation. She didn’t want to give the impression that she indeed doubted Jason Dillinger after his recent choices. She still believed in him, she was a huge fan of Jason and felt that he was being totally honest with her. There was a lot to think about, she was focused though on the Trios tournament and nothing more. It was a Godsend for her to have someone like Chris Cannon as her partner, with her close relationship to Kelcey Wallace, she at least knew that there was someone on the team tat could trust one another.
For Peyton, Scarlet was the odd person out, but she believed that woman wanted it just as bad and would fight tooth and nail to get it. Kelcey wanted to spend time with her, she loved Peyton like a daughter. Now entering her third trimester, the reality of being pregnant and the fears that come with the actual her birth starting to sink in on The Perfect Ten. She sat out on the deck, looking at the lake. She worse a blue summer dress, flip flops with her shoulder length hair hung down and toe nails polished lavender. Chris was preparing dinner inside, some burgers in work out shorts, a t-shirt, ball cap and sneakers. Peyton didn’t change from earlier, wearing jeans, thong sandals and a white halter top, her nails a French Mani/Pedi and her long hair hanging down. Kelcey and Peyton sat together, both drinking ginger lemonade….
Peyton: “Thank you so much for inviting me. This is a really nice place you have here. I didn’t even know that it was here on the lake….. I mean I didn’t even know there was a lake! You come here often?
Kelcey: “When we can. I used to live out here full-time love before I moved out to Los Angeles though that was Silas Mason’s doing. He sold this place to Sienna Swann, luckily, I was able to buy it back. There are a lot of memories here. Chris and I are thinking about spending our winters here when the baby is born. It’s peaceful, the shops and restaurants are all down in walking distance. Seriously love, if you are ever in these parts for SCW or you just want to get away, you can stay here anytime.”
Peyton: “Really? Thank you so much.”
Kelcey: “Of course. Is your dad coming to Trios?”
Peyton: “YES! So excited that he could come. He and Margherita arrive Friday, so super excited.”
Kelcey: “The relationship you have with your father is tremendous, promise me that you will never let that go. Do not do anything to sever that relationship, okay? You never know when someone you love can be taken from you so fast.”
Peyton could tell that Kelcey was talking about her father, she respectfully nodded and gave her that infectious smile…..
Peyton: “My father is my life, Kelcey. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for my dad. I know how close you were to yours, when you were married, and he passed away on your wedding day. I heard what happened.”
Kelcey: “So you heard the story?”
Peyton: “I read about it a long time ago. You won Taking Hold of the Flame weeks later.”
Kelcey: “I did. Peyton, I understand Mr. D wants you to be unique, to stand out and not fall into the same molds as the Beauty Factory and others. Even I once was like that. That comes natural love, I wasn’t The Perfect ten because I was the hottest, or won every match, I was The Perfect Ten because I believed in striving to be perfect in the best you could. Whatever you chose to be what you wanted, that was Perfection. You have the heart of a lioness and the courage of an eagle. You remind me so much of who I was once, and I am so petrified this business one day will corrupt you like it has all of us.”
Peyton: “It won’t Kelcey, I promise. I rather fail and be who I am then succeed and be something I am not.”
Kelcey: “How was hanging out with Owen? You haven’t talked about that much?”
Peyton: “I love Owen, he’s like my kid brother. We have so much fun together and I’m glad he has Jaina. Owen is a such a good guy and he’s had it rough. He’s concerned about me.”
Kelcey looks a bit intrigued by that revelation, slowly sitting up and adjusting, holding her stomach some and wincing…
Peyton: “Are you okay?”
Kelcey: “I’m fine love, entering my third trimester. It’s coming and fast.”
Peyton: “I am so excited for you.”
Kelcey: “I am too…..”
She looked a little worried, staring down at her belly, Peyton caught that, she looked inside the sliding glass door, Chris was making some snacks and a mixing some drinks, she leaned over to Kelcey….
Peyton: “Is there something….. wrong? Should Chris know?”
Kelcey: “I trust you Peyton, there are not very many people I do. There is always a danger with my disease in giving birth. I knew the risks going in and there is always the possibility that I could have a miscarriage, the baby could come out stiff or I could be the one to die due to my condition.”
Peyton: “I… I … didn’t know that. What is the percentage?”
Kelcey: “It’s nothing love.”
Peyton: “What is the percentage?”
Kelcey: “It’s…..”
Peyton: “Kelcey, please?”
Kelcey: “It’s 25-30% fatality rate.”
Peyton’s eyes widen, a cold chill travel down her spine, making her toes curl and lets out a shiver. Her eyes start to water up a little thinking if something happened to Kelcey….
Kelcey: “No, love, not here. I’ll be fine, I promise. Just do me a favor, do not tell Chris what we talked about. I don’t need him to worry. He is so happy and at the same time, he’s so focused on wrestling, I am so glad that you two are on the same team. Scarlet Grey, she is tricky, on the other side of the fence but Trios makes enemies into partners, that contract is enticing. I’ve participated in three of them, won one, made it to the semi-finals the other two times with David Helms as my partner. You’re in good hands. Go out there and have fun. That is all you can do. They don’t know what to expect from you which puts you at an advantage. Okay love?”
Peyton: “Okay. I….”
Kelcey: “Peyton, look at me.”
She looks up at Kelcey’s blue eyes….
Kelcey: “Do not worry okay, focus on Trios, focus on your new career, focus on helping Chris. You two need to stick together, you two need to be on the same page. Scarlet is a Katya puppet and she will mimic her feelings, we have never interacted and yet I am labeled a devil because of the relationship I have with Mr. D, same with Kennedy. Kennedy and Chris have finally made up so to speak, she is another that can be beneficial. Reach out to her, she’s good people.”
Peyton: “I will. I promise, you know that I will also be there for Chris, I don’t trust Scarlet, I could see her costing Chris and I because it’s against Syren. I would hope that she isn’t that stupid.”
Kelcey: “She is. Now, what happened with Owen?”
Peyton: “He doesn’t like Jason Dillinger and after what he did a few weeks ago at EMERGE, he thinks that I shouldn’t trust him or be with him. Kelcey, I know you feel the same way about him, I really do but I don’t think he is a bad guy. I have seen the other side of J-Dilly. He makes some dumb decisions, sure but seriously, he isn’t malicious.”
Kelcey: “I never trusted him. He came and talked to me about you a while back. He seemed very sincere, but you are a fine young woman that can have the pick of the litter. Don’t shoe horn yourself. You are too bright for that.”
Peyton: “I understand…. And…..”
As Peyton was going to continue talking, Chris Cannon walks out with some appetizers and a drinks, he places them on the table…..
Chris: “I hope you two ladies are hungry, I know I am.”
Peyton: “Thanks, it looks delish!”
Kelcey: “Looks lovely, as always, my Super Chef.”
Chris: “I don’t know about all that, I try though. You two having fun conversation?”
Kelcey: “Yes, we are. I was telling Peyton about Trios, how you two need to stick together. We also talked about the pregnancy….”
Chris face lights up in joy, his hand slowly rubs Kelcey’s stomach. She smiles as Peyton looks on, forcing a smile too though concerned about what Kelcey told her earlier….
Chris: “My little Princess. I can’t wait. Three more months and we have our first child together, I’m so excited.”
Peyton: “So happy for you two! What are you going to call her?”
Chris: “We haven’t decided yet but her middle name will be Anne, after Kelcey’s mother.”
Kelcey: “She would have loved to have a granddaughter, spoiled her to death. I miss my parents that’s why I told you that earlier, cherish the moments.”
Chris: “You know, wrestling is all good and all but let’s eat, I am starving.”
They all agree and start to eat, engage in some small talk….
An Hour Later
After cleaning up, Kelcey kisses Chris and then Peyton on the cheek and goes lays down in bed after an exhausting day. She retired with a book after kicking off her sandals. Peyton is outside, the might lights and moon shine over the lake. She is in shorts and a t-shirt, staying in the spare bedroom with Chris and Kelcey. He walks out and hands her a beer…
Peyton: “I don’t usually drink beer.”
Chris: “Micro-Brew, only the best, love.”
Peyton: “Okay, thanks.”
She takes it, Chris sits next to her, they toast and drink, at firsts he makes a bitter face but after a minute she likes the taste of it, shrugs her shoulders and starts to sip it some more….
Chris: “Nervous?”
Peyton: “A little, yeah.”
Chris: “Don’t be. Win or lose, what we must do is go out there and perform, that’s it. You do your best, that’s all we can ask for. I have concerns about our partner, she may try something stupid and if Sienna wasn’t successful, she doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell love.”
Peyton: “No one does, you have the perfect wife, like in every facet of life. You are the luckiest man on the planet.”
Chris: “I am. I could never think of my life without Kelcey. I don’t know what the hell I would do if something happened to her. She is my everything.”
Peyton: “I hate conversations like this, makes me sad thinking about them. You two will never be apart, grow old together, I hope that one day I can find a love like that. Jason is a good man, I just have a hard time trusting him.”
Chris: “Trust is the key, it really is. Without it no relationship will ever work out. You are a smart, beautiful young woman. I’m surprised Ricky is out of the picture, I really liked that lad.”
Peyton: “ I loved Ricky… but he’s in the Beauty Factory now, he’s hanging out with models and yeah, I can’t compete. Also, he kind of broke my trust too so it’s pretty crazy.”
Chris sighs, shaking his head, some guys are just dumb, and he sees Peyton as a perfect catch. He looks over at the young woman who continues to drink her beer…
Peyton: “Can I ask you a personal question?”
Chris: “Sure love.”
Peyton: “Sienna…. I used to worship her. I thought she was amazing and everything that a woman like me wanted to be. So honestly, did you ever think of hooking up with her?”
Chris: “As tempting as it was? No. Do you believe me?”
Peyton: “Yeah I do. Chris, I don’t want to fail you and yet I think that if I do, you’ll hate me for it. You want that Trios Contract, it gives you the match you want. Me, I’m still new and trying to feel my way around….”
Chris: “Peyton, for you being in the ring alone is not a failure and if you and I were to lose, then we do so as a team. We need to watch our backs, that’s all and if we continue on our road, we will be just fine. Think about this, imagine if we eliminate Bree and Syren in the first round?”
A smile comes across Peyton, she giggles a little and shakes her head….
Chris: “Bree would explode into lipstick and Syren into silicone.”
Peyton: “You are bad!”
Chris: “We are going to be just fine, kid. We are going to be just fine.”
He leans in with the beer bottle, they toast again and drink. Kelcey watches from the window upstairs, she smiles when her stomach starts to hurt a little, she winces, placing her hand on it and taking a few deep breathes. She continues to oversee Chris and Peyton, as a tear trickles down her cheek…..

She turned on the music, started to dance in front of the mirror while wearing bell bottomed jeans and platform shoes. Her hair was up, the top she chose was tight fit and long sleeved. It was ABBA playing in the background. At this point, even Peyton didn’t know what she was doing. Trying so hard to come up with a gimmick, anything that would put the attention on her, she wanted to stand out, that is exactly what Mr. D told her to do, finding the right one was painstakingly hard, but she was not going to quit….
If anything, she would have fun doing it.
Peyton: “You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life…. See that girl, watch that scene, digging the Dancing Queen….”
She puts out a few Disco moves in and quickly realizes that this is a terrible idea. She stops, turns off the music and plops on the bed….
Peyton: “This is sooo stupid and sooooo hard!”
Peyton stares up at the ceiling trying to figure out what is next…..
Valentine’s Day

Peyton decided to get down to Miami a few days early, settle in, promote the event, get to experience the culture. At the same time, she knew that Jason Dillinger was there to see her. She was upset about the choice he made down in EMERGE to keep Dexter Schmidt in power after handing him Willow Wilkes. Peyton didn’t care for that decision and she was always nice, always cordial but there was a time when she would put her foot down and let it be known that she is not happy….
That time was now.
They sat inside Beachside, a beautiful restaurant on Ocean Drive in South Beach. Peyton looked ready to kill in a red dinner dress and matching peep toe pumps. Her long hair hung down. She sipped on some wine, Pinot Grigio, a good compliment for the Sea Bass she ordered. J-Dilly, the pet name she called him sat across in a black suit, no tie and blue silk dress shirt with loafers. He was concerned about Peyton’s feelings….
Jason: “Thank you for being my Valentine.”
Peyton: “Thanks for inviting me, J-Dilly. Dad is coming up tomorrow, I wasn’t going to do much today, it was cool that you flew down here, as I think we have a lot to discuss.”
Jason: “Pey, listen about the EMERGE stuff. I understand that you don’t agree with it. I wanted Willow Wilkes, that was it. She betrayed and attacked me. You are no longer there so I felt like I had to do it. Was I wrong? Probably, yeah. I mean I wish that I wasn’t, but I felt like it was my chance to get her one on one and she is part of the Beauty Factory. Former World Champion, I want to prove that I am the Man of the Century.”
Peyton: “I don’t have a problem with that Jay, I have a problem with the man you made a deal with. Vanilla was basically run out of EMERGE by him and Willow. I get it, she deserves a but whooping J-Dilly style but still. You made a deal with he Devil to keep him in power!?”
Jason: “I wasn’t thinking…”
Peyton: “No, you weren’t.”
The waiter comes by and serves a Charcuterie Platter and Escargot, Peyton Smiles as does Jason. He walks off, Peyton sips her wine, J-Dilly starts to serve her a plate….
Jason: “I disappointed you, I’m sorry.”
Peyton: “It’s fine, don’t worry about it. You just need to think about these things before you decide, that’s all. He’s not the type of guy you want to deal with. You really need to be careful, okay?”
Jason: “I know, I will.”
There was an awkward pause, a moment where there was some silence….
Jason: “Listen, Pey…..”
Peyton: “What’s up?”
Jason: “I understand that things have been a little awkward lately. That Taylor came to you and talked about things that I did.”
Alistair Taylor was a man J-Dilly hired to sabotage Peyton and Ricky Octavius relationship, He was up to no good but when Jason realized that he was hurting Peyton too and saw just how much she meant to him, he fired Taylor and started to be the man he should have in the first place. Taylor approached Peyton and told her what had happened, but she didn’t believe him though it seems everyone she talks to whether Kelcey or Owen, they all think that he did indeed do it. Peyton looks up at gazes into his eyes…
Peyton: “J-Dilly, I gave you the benefit of the doubt, I have seen what kind of person you are and how you have always treated me. It was hard for me to fathom that you could ever do that to me, I mean that is what an evil, vindictive and jealous person does, you are none of those, right?”
Jason: “None. I love you Pey. I know that I never have said that to you in person, well I did once but you were already asleep. I love you and I can’t stop myself from thinking about you. I wanted to take you out tonight to show you my appreciation that you do stand by and believe me in all of this. I would never do anything to hurt you or break what we have. Ricky messed up, he’s a popular guy who everyone wants to cheer for and yet he went to the Beauty Factory? What does that tell you about him?”
Peyton: “I know J-Dilly. Ricky is a good guy, he has a big heart, it just seems like both of you? Bring out the worse in each other and I hate it. I am not going to crucify Ricky because he made a conscious business decision for his career. He’s modeling, not wrestling, touring around the world, I can’t blame him for that, I would have done the same thing had I not been a wrestler or have friends the Factory have hurt. I could say the same thing about you aligning with Dexter, is there really a difference?”
Jason: “I messed up. Ricky is not saying anything of the sort. I will do whatever it takes to make it up to you, alright?”
Peyton: “You don’t have to, J-Dilly, just be you, okay? That is all I ask. Don’t lie, don’t do anything shady, be the guy that I know you are, I get tied of people telling me that you are this other guy I have never seen, it scares me and at the same time I wonder to myself if I’m some idiot, stupid even. Don’t make me look like a liar.”
He quickly shakes his head….
Jason: “I won’t, I promise. So tonight, I have a boat, something nice to go out on the bay.”
Peyton: “Really? That sounds like a lot of fun. I just need to be back at a decent hour, I have to get up super early to get my dad at the airport, cool?”
Jason: “Yes cool.”
Jason Dillinger was happy that Peyton was willing to hear him out. She wasn’t going to believe every story that someone told her even if their opinion was held on high regard with her. Instead she was the type of young woman where she needed to see it herself and form her own, that is how she liked to deal with things, After dinner and dessert, they went out on a private yacht that was captained by a skipper Jason was able to rent, taking a tour of the Biscayne Bay, they cuddled next to each other and kissed, it was a nice and relaxing night….
A Few Hours Later
Jason dropped off Peyton at her hotel, she needed to go to bed early, the last thing she wanted was to stay up late as she needed to get up and pick up her father from the airport. Peyton walks into the hotel in South Beach but stops, instead she looks out at the water and smiles, slipping off her heels and stepping on the cold sand, the music, salsa, merengue all coming from the various clubs echoed through the night. Her long hair whisked in the wind, Trios was in a few days, the biggest event in her short career in the SCW so far and it was teaming with someone that she respected. Peyton made her way out into the sand, the warm water brushing up on her smooth feet, her heels in hand, thinking about so many things that has happened on her way to the SCW…..
When suddenly….
“Peyton?”
Her head shot up, her green eyes widened as she recognized that voice, it was Ricky Octavius standing in front of her, he had on jeans, barefoot with his button up shirt open, she looked shocked and surprised…
Peyton: “Ricky?”
Ricky: “Hey, I didn’t know you were staying in South Beach.”
Peyton: “Yeah, right here at this hotel. Why are you here, The Beauty Factory isn’t in Trios?”
Ricky: “It’s Miami, Sienna has a photo shoot down here and so do I tomorrow, you should come.”
Peyton: “I don’t think that is a good idea. Your new friends and my friends just don’t get along.”
Ricky: “I understand but Peyton, they aren’t my friends, they are my co-workers. You and the people you call friends are mine too. I understand that this is guilty by association but come on, give me a little bit of a break here. I’m still the same guy you know, always have been. Can’t we just talk? I miss talking to you.”
Peyton: “I’m sorry Ricky, you didn’t deserve that. You have always been straight with me, I know that things went sour and I still really don’t know what happened. I just want to tell you that I do miss talking to you too. Kind of weird we just ran into each other here.”
Ricky: “Care to walk some? Catch up?”
She smiles and nods…
Peyton: “Sure.”
They start to walk down on the beach, next to one another, she looks over at him as he starts to laugh….
Peyton: “What is so funny?”
Ricky: “You, this is weird….. Like I am stalking you or something.”
Peyton: “Oh you shush. I mean what are the odds, that was all.”
Ricky: “You are dressed like a Queen tonight, what is the special occasion?”
Peyton: “Valentine’s. I went out with J-Dilly, he’s in town too. I actually should be going to bed, wanted to soak my feet in the water first, enjoy the view until you showed up and now, I’m going to be all tired tomorrow. You know I need my sleep, Ricky.”
Ricky: “We can head back.”
Peyton: “No, it’s cool, a few minutes are good.”
Ricky: “So, SCW? I am proud of you. I knew it was only a matter of time and Trios, huge opportunity.”
Peyton: “It is, super excited.”
Ricky: “I bet so is Chris and Kelcey. How’s Ray?”
She stops and glances over at him with a smile….
Peyton: “He’s good. He misses you. Always asks about Ricky, how’s my boy doing and all that jazz.”
Ricky: “Your dad is a good man, I miss him too. Mind if I come by tomorrow and see him?”
Peyton: “Not at all, he would love that. So what shoot are you doing?”
Ricky: “Ralph Lauren with Jennifer Helms, Sienna is doing some Vogue stuff, swimsuits. It’s fun times, seriously there is no catch, I would like you to come. You would like Jen, she is a nice girl.”
Peyton: “She broke Christian Cannon’s heart, Ricky.”
Ricky: “Pey, she’s a nice girl. Trust me. Christian seems like a cool kid, he does, sometimes this business can be cruel, and you just need to trust people’s decisions and their judgment. Like us, you know? We were always like that once. I made this choice, I knew I would get some backlash, but it was a great opportunity and dream come true.”
Peyton: “I’m happy for you Ricky, I really am. I just can’t be anywhere near Sienna or the Beauty Factory right now. It’s not my place and I don’t appreciate what she ahs done to Kelcey and Chris. I am not blaming you or anything, I’m just trying to state my case.”
Ricky: “I understand. Laura is a sharp woman, she treats her people right and she also knows that you were once a model. She loves your look, I mean who doesn’t.”
Her eyes narrow a little, folding her arms and tilting her head….
Peyton: “If I didn’t know any better, I would think you are trying to recruit me to the Beauty Factory, Ricky Octavius. I would love to go see your shoot, I would, seriously it would be fun, but you know I can’t. Mr. D believes in me, I do not want to get mixed up in the wrong crowd even if my intentions are pure, perception is nine tenths of the law, you know that.”
Ricky: “Would you hold it against me if I said that I was NOT trying to recruit you and instead, I really miss you a lot and would like to see you again while we are both out here? I’m guilty of that, call me selfish, I guess.”
Peyton: “Ricky…. I can’t. Look, just come over and see my dad, he would love to see you stop by, maybe we can grab a late lunch, early dinner or something?”
Ricky: “Yeah, that sounds like a plan. I need to give you something though.”
Peyton: “What is it?”
He reaches into his pocket, taking out a Beauty Factory card with his name on it, he hands it to her, as she grabs it their hands rub against one another, locking eyes….
Ricky: “I didn’t have a Valentine tonight but seeing you made it all worth it.”
Peyton: “I, yeah definitely. Ricky….”
She looks down at the card for a moment, the looks up realizing they are face to face, their lips catch each other’s breath. Part of Peyton wants to kiss him so bad, she feels the connection and with some doubt looming about J-Dilly and his intentions, it pushes those feelings harder and then again, she also understands that Ricky is associated with the enemy and she cannot find herself entangled in it. They start to move closer to one another when Peyton pulls away, snapping out of her trance….
Peyton: “I have to go. It was good seeing you, call me tomorrow when you want to stop by.”
Ricky: “Yeah… sure, around 2ish?”
Peyton: “Perfect, goodnight Ricky.”
Ricky: “Goodnight Peyton.”
He watches in his opinion probably the most beautiful woman he has ever laid his eyes on and the most wonderful and caring human being. Ricky sighs that he and Peyton still had a connection, but nothing came of it. He really misses her. Peyton makes it to the sidewalk, she wipes her feet, puts her heels back on and heads into the hotel. After she goes inside, Ricky walks up to a limo, he gets in where Laura Steinbeck and Sienna Swann. The Angel in a black short cut dress and open toed heels, her nails polished red, Laura in red pants, black blouse and matching heels. She hands Ricky a glass of Scotch, he drinks it right away as Sienna sits there and smirks….
Sienna: “Well?”
Ricky: “She’s loyal to Kelcey and Chris. She is not coming to the shoots tomorrow.”
Sienna: “Why?”
Ricky: “Because of you.”
Sienna: “I was the one that convinced her to go train at Ante Up Academy!? That ungrateful little…..”
Ricky: “Hey… please don’t.”
Sienna: “Look Ricky, we need her. Forget the other teams. Much as I love Bree? She can’t win a Trios with that bitch, Syren on her team, we cannot let that happen so you talk to her tomorrow, I don’t care how you need to pep her up, I need that girl to eliminate Syren and she is my only hope as Chris won’t give me the time of day and Scarlet is a piece of human waste.”
Ricky glances over at Laura who folds her arms and stares him down with her icy blue eyes….
Ricky: “What?”
Laura: “You still love her.”
Ricky: “Yeah I do.”
Laura: “Here I thought you would hook up with Jennifer, give her some incentive since her mother is a crazy bitch and has flipped the script since Datura dropped Regan on her head. Darling, I am counting on you to influence her any way you can. I know you don’t want to, I know this goes against everything you believe in but trust me when I say, if you think she is the love of your life? Then you will fight for her, is that understood?”
He bites down on his jaw and sighs….
Ricky: “I didn’t want to do this in the first place. Following her from the marina to here? That stalking bullshit? I’m Ricky Octavius, I don’t stalk women and if you want a liar and a schemer, you have the wrong guy…..”
He opens the door but Sienna’s foot and long legs slam against the seat and blocks him. Her eyes start to narrow….
Sienna: “You want that cancer foundation to honor your mother?”
Suddenly, Ricky feels deflated, sitting back as Sienna closes the door….
Sienna: “Then you better buckle up for a wild ride, sweetie because WE are not playing anymore games with Katya or the SCW, is that understood!?”
Laura: “Choose your words carefully.”
Ricky: “Yeah…. Understood.”
Sienna: “Excellent, now let’s enjoy the South Beach night life.”
Laura and Sienna look at one another and smirk, they turn to Ricky who looks away, for Peyton Rice is the last person he will ever want to hurt for she truly is the girl of his dreams.
Peyton’s Hotel Room

Peyton Rice was ready to give up, she had different outfits strewn all over the floor. Finally, she was wearing a top hat, tuxedo coat with tail, wand and halter top with a bow tie. Her face told the story of her less than enthusiastic results. She tried to dance a little, even playing her theme and still to no avail. Was Peyton ever going to find the right gimmick so she could be different….
She took the top hat off after dancing like the Frog in the Looney Tunes. That is when her father rolled in, he was in jeans, a black t-shirt and boots….
He was trying to figure out what his daughter was doing….
Ray: “What the shit?”
Peyton: “Dad!? Knock!”
Ray: “I didn’t know this was a private costume party. I’m sorry. What the hell are you wearing?”
Peyton: “I’m trying out new outfits, seeing what fits, I need a gimmick dad, something to make me stand out so that the SCW fans can connect with me. I have been at this for the last few hours and I am at the end of my rope, I mean seriously, what the heck can I be? A cheerleader? No, it’s too peppy. A Dancing Queen? I mean, I can dance and all but no, it’s too silly. I could be like a magician, pull a rabbit out of my hat, call myself Mystic Peyton…. Instead of Pizza… get it?”
Ray: “Uhh….”
Peyton: “I also thought about doing something like a firefighter, to honor you, like “Blazin’” Peyton Rice or maybe Backdraft, the Spark, Inferno?”
Ray: “What about Peyton Rice.”
She stops and looks a bit dumbfounded, her dad was being serious, he leans in some as she hands him the top hat, he looks at it and puts it on….
Peyton: “Dad….”
Ray: “Looks good on me. No, seriously, what about Peyton Rice. Hat is who you are. Do you really need all this crap to stand out because my little girl that I know stands out and commands attention with her vibrant personality, beautiful smile and positive attitude, a joy always to be around? I’m pretty sure that there isn’t that many of those types in the SCW, they seem to be pretentious assholes, at least 70% of them anyway.”
Peyton: “Dad…. Just Peyton Rice? Regan Street is the Hellcat, Sienna Swann is the Iron Angel and like five other names, Ravyn is the Bad Bad Girl, Kennedy Street is the Sexy Flawless Diva, Syren is Totally Awesome, I mean that is her nickname, I’m not saying she is…. Totally….. awesome…..”
Her voice trails when she realizes her father knew exactly what she meant. He smirks and shakes his head, looking up at his daughter and throwing the top hat on the ground….
Ray: “Let them have their names, if that is their niche so be it, you are Peyton Rice, daughter of proud father, Ray Rice. You go out there and be that, let them make up the nickname for you, the fans will eventually. If you think that is boring, okay, sure but seriously…. You are you and no one can take that away. Remember when you are successful, they will remember one name, Peyton Rice.”
Peyton: “So just be me.”
Ray: “Didn’t your boss pull you to the side and suggest you be something else, standout on your own?”
Peyton: “He did.”
Ray: “Then there you go. Peyton Rice, now go win a Triple thing and let them chant your name…”
Peyton: “It’s Trios dad.”
Ray: “Right, Trios.”
He turns his wheelchair and starts to stroll away….
Peyton: “Dad….”
Ray: “Yeah pumpkin?”
Peyton: “Thank you.”
Ray: “That’s what fathers are for.”
Ray rolls out of the room leaving Peyton looking around at all the outfits scattered all over the floor. She shakes her head and starts to laugh…..
SCENE FADES

“A month into my SCW career and I am chosen to be a part of the Trios Tournament. There is a lot of responsibility that comes with this honor and privilege. It is a chance to make history and even rewrite it. I have always been on the right side of things the last three years. David Helms, Matty Stone, Tommy Valentine, Brittany Lohan, Kelcey Wallace, Selena Frost and even Regan Street have all sat me down at some point and dropped some knowledge. I have seen what they did in the ring, how the SCW past has molded the stars of today and paved the way for someone like me to make a name for herself and at least attempt to walk in the same steps yet make new ones to the top of the echelon this company has which in reality it’s the best in the world.
I guess I’m still like a kid in a candy store, I find it funny that I was a locker room leader in EMERGE, I was the one of the faces of that company, my main goal was to help it get to prominence, NOT be the top star or even the marquee name, for me, I was just happy to be there and then something happen….
I started to have success yet staying humble for in this sport you can be beaten by anyone at anytime and much of your momentum can be killed just like that. Am I intimidated by the field in the tournament? Uh, yes! We are talking about Former, Current and Supreme Champions who have made their names throughout the last few years and shown why the SCW is truly the best in all of wrestling. The first round alone is tough, maybe I’m taking the wrong approach, thinking that I don’t belong and instead just want to prove that I can and will be successful and most importantly be a positive influence on those that one day have the same dream I did to be here and with that, no one can take it away, no one. I want my opponents and anyone who is involved in this tournament that I maybe a rookie in the SCW, but I am NOT a rookie to the ring.
I was a little disappointed and at the same time discouraged at my debut, maybe that took the flash and shine off my debut, in a way I’m happy it did. I didn’t want to be labeled as the next coming of Kelcey Wallace or Selena Frost, I want to be known as ME, Peyton Rice and while that maybe boring to a lot of people, it’s fine, not to me. I want them to underestimate my intentions and stature, overlook my ability and drive, brush off my skills and desire, it makes it much easier to perform, have less pressure on yourself, no one is expecting huge things from you and suddenly….
You find out that I’m more than capable of winning this…
And a proud holder of a Trios Contract!”

The Scene Opens….
South Beach is known for its beaches and the glamorous scene around its happening nightspots and celebrity-chef eateries. Chain stores and indie fashion shops line pedestrian shopping strip Lincoln Road Mall. On Ocean Drive, known for its well-preserved art deco architecture, outdoor cafes offer a ringside view of the scene. Museums include the Wolfsonian-FIU, which has a collection of modern art and objects. Also known for its hotels and bars, many of which have been prominently featured in countless movies and media. Among the most popular is the Colony Hotel, known as the most photographed art deco hotel, a 1939 boutique-inspired hotel that has made cameo appearances in scores of movies and TV shows including Dexter. The Sunray Apartments were featured in the movie 1983 movie, Scarface and the Carlyle Hotel served as the exterior for the Birdcage drag club in the 1996 comedy “The Birdcage”. The 2002 videogame, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City also based the look of its eponymous city off Miami and has a replica of Ocean Drive with exactly the same name. Ocean Drive in South Beach is also the location of the famed Casa Casuarina, the residence of Italian fashion designer Gianni Versace (now a boutique hotel), one of the most photographed houses in North America. Another popular art deco hotel is Clevelander Hotel, aside from its “Hotel” services, it consists of an indoor sports lounge as well a dance floor and pool area on the ground floor and a complimentary roof-top lounge….
Here is where we find the gorgeous and extremely talented, Peyton Rice. The newest member of the SCW roster, a former EMERGE Champion, undefeated, never losing the belt but opting to come up to the Main Scene and start practicing her craft that is a few years in the making. After losing her debut match by count out to John Goddard in a match where she showed off her skills but was given a unlucky break, she quickly bounced back and pinned Max Kane in a fast paced match but where she was attacked by the Network, mostly a victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time though for Peyton it was not the first time the large Savali had attacked her, as it had happened before in the UWA. Peyton though took it with stride, she knew it was part of the business and like so many other top stars, you had to take the good with the bad and continue on….
As wrestling was a sport you lived one week at a time.
Now it was her chance at the big time, to win a Trios Contract as a rookie, just one month into her tenure and she was looking forward to it. Teaming with Chris Cannon was a dream, the husband of her mentor and one of the most influential people in her life, Kelcey Wallace made her feel even better. Her other partner, Scarlet Gray, not so much but if history taught us anything, teams can get along with a common goal.
Wearing long white denim jeans, open toed wedge sandals and a powder blue long sleeve blouse showing off some cleavage. Her long, straightened sandy brown hair hanging down, nails a French manicure/pedicure, she was ready to speak….
REC:
Nervous and excited all at the same time, Peyton looks into the camera with her beautiful green eyes and inviting smile, speaking in her sexy yet girlish voice….
“I love Miami, where else can you go and be in such great weather with the beach a few steps away, comfortable and enjoying life? South Florida is awesome and one of the many perks of being an SCW Superstar, traveling around the States and the world, to experience such culture and get a feel for the great fans that we have in Supreme Championship Wrestling. The fans…. Sometimes I wonder how many wrestlers in this company forget what they mean to us and how important they are to what we do? A few weeks ago, I was in a match with Max Kane and I have to say, he is one daredevil. I thought I was high risk, he doesn’t care and while the crash and burn approach may not always be the smartest way to go, I will compliment him for doing whatever it takes to entertain and at the same time win a match. I was lucky to get the victory, I was not lucky in getting attacked afterwards by The Network. Savali and I are no strangers to each other, she’s attacked me before during the UWA days. That woman has absolutely no shame and while she is ten times bigger than me, I’m not afraid and welcome to her to do it face to face next time. I knew what I was getting into when I came to the SCW, this was a huge step for me especially for someone that wasn’t totally convinced in her abilities. Sure, I was the undefeated EMERGE Champion, I left with a belt never losing but this is a totally different monster as I learned in my debut match against Jon Goddard.
I like Mr. Goddard, he is someone that has been like a guardian angel, very respectful and he will be part to one of the biggest events of the year, The Trios Tournament. Owen Cruze debut in this tournament, Kelcey Wallace first match was in Trios, this might only be my third match in the promotion, but I know that I can contribute to my team and really excel in being able to walk out and shock the world with a Trios Contract and then? Oh, I can’t answer that now, I never put the wagon before the horse and truth be told, I wouldn’t know what to do with it, I would have to wait for the right time. My trainers, mentors at Ante Up have all been a part of this great even where there is so much on the line and the key to it all?
Team work.
This year Trios is a little different, there is such a great divide between the roster, the forces of Katya and Dark Fantasy, the Beauty Factory and then the rest of the SCW is where someone like me would fall under. Looking at some of the who’s who in this makes me so excited to be chosen on a team and yet intimidating at the same time. Champions like James Evans, Marie Jones, her crazy sister who I had my wars with in EMERGE, Kimmie Williams, Kandis, another of my adversaries, Giovanni Aries who Main Evented RTG XV, Konrad Raab, Glory Braddock, Regan Street, Alistaire Allocco and the names keep going. In order to be able to test my skills and see how I match up against these great stars my teammates and I first must get past probably the favorite to win the entire tournament….
Bree Lancaster, Maddy Steward and the World Champion Syren.
I never thought a few months ago I would be in the same ring with a bona fide legend in Syren, a SEVEN-time World Champion and the former United States Champion, Bree Lancaster. Add Maddy Steward to the mix, a woman who has a great pedigree and influence in Katie Steward and you have a winner. I will be looking across the ring at them tomorrow night with so many thoughts going through my head. My dad will be in attendance and I know no matter what happens he’s going to be proud of me. My good friend Owen Cruze. EMERGE star and my boyfriend, Jason Dillinger….
So yeah, no pressure, right!?
The butterflies are in my stomach, I can feel them buzzing around but you know what? That is what’s such a level of the excitement and I just hope to make SCW and Mr. D proud of my performance. My team of Chris Cannon and Scarlet Grey are an interesting mix, with one, I trust him with my life, the husband of my mentor and like an older sister or even a mother to me in Kelcey Wallace. The other? A Katya servant who will do whatever she can to protect the World Champion?
Or does Scarlet like the rest of us want to upset the top team and take a Trios Contract for herself?
That’s the thing, I might be new to the SCW but even I know, the prize is basically whatever you want, are you really going to sacrifice your chance of attaining it for someone else?
If you are, then Scarlet, you don’t belong in the ring and I say that with all due respect.”
Peyton has a little fire lit up under her ass, the gorgeous, talented and adorable Rice is happy to be in this position, she wants to show the SCW just how good she can be and with the first round being probably the toughest team to compete again, she has prepared herself mentally. Happy to have Chris Cannon on her side, they look to make magic and advance in a tournament no one expects them to win. She turns back to the camera and speaks….
“Scarlet Grey, our little encounter on Breakdown concerns me. I don’t know what problem you have with me other than you were brainwashed like the rest of Katya’s loyal followers into thinking Kelcey Wallace is the ultimate evil and Chris Cannon is yours for the taking. Sister, between you and me? If Chris turned down the advances of Sienna Swann?
You really don’t stand much of a chance so why don’t you get that idea out of your head and concentrate on actually winning a Trios. We CAN do it, David CAN beat Goliath. This contract can make your career, all you have to do is work as a team with Chris and I. You are talented wrestler, whatever was between you and Aaron Blackourne and his Miss’s was between you two, don’t bring that here, we need to stay focused on the task at hand, beating THREE teams and shocking the world. That sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me but in order for it to come true? We MUST be on the same page. I get it, you want to throw threats at the rookie, show off your muscle, push and bully me around, sure whatever. While you contemplate your next move, I am going to be fighting in that ring with everything I have against two of the top wrestlers in the SCW….

As for Chris Cannon, know that I already told you this, but I will say it again, it is an honor and pleasure to team with you. I appreciate the vote of confidence and the chance fight side by side against some of the toughest superstars I will ever face. I will have your back all the way, you can count on me Chris, I promise to try and not let you down and though they may look at me as the weak link, I am going to surprise a lot of people tomorrow night. Looking at the team in the first round, Maddy Steward has a lot to prove to Katie, she is tough, resilient and smart. I would love a match with her sometime as our skill sets compliment each other. Someone like her is always the dark horse and you have to wonder just how much Bree and Syren look down on her and think she is the anchor to bring them down. I will never look at any opponent, win/loss record, last match, first match, it doesn’t matter, people win and lose all the time it doesn’t mean that in one tourney like this they can have a career night, look at Donovan Kayl last year. I look at Maddy Steward and those teams in the next round, I won’t discount anyone…..
Because right now there are forces beyond the ring that are being played and we as in Chris and I and others who are not part of this coupe, must be aware of the challenges ahead and the biggest for us is Bree Lancaster, the former United States Champion, a great competitor inside the ring but a really lousy person outside and I hate talking bad about people but when you tell the world you let Selena Frost win? You are not only embarrassing yourself and the SCW, you are disrespecting Selena and the United States Champion. There are many ways to save face Bree, you could have easily congratulated her and in time get your rematch. Right now, though, I see what is going on, giving you special incentive for the championship shot, even thinking about betraying your best friend for it? This is what is wrong with the SCW, the fans pay their hard-earned money to see us compete, they want to see the best battle the best, instead Katya manipulates everything because she thinks the SCW is about her?

Just like you Bree, this is NOT about you, this is about the best collection of wrestlers getting together and trying to team with one another and to think there are influences right now at work to try and tip the odds in your favor, makes me sick to my stomach. I came here to make a name for myself, climbing the ladder of success so one day I could be a Champion, maybe Main Event RTG, make my dad and hometown proud that after all those years of hard work, I made it.

Nothing upsets Peyton more than manipulation and to know that so many people in the tournament have their hands in the cookie jar. She takes a deep breath, an adorable young woman that while not very menacing can be quite entertaining when fired up, and focused. She knows that there will be shenanigans by Bree and Syren, they may even work together so Bree can get her title shots. Either way, Peyton needs to continue to concentrate on herself and her partners. She looks back at the camera with her green eyes and speaks….
“Bree, you have a chance to reach out to so many people and be an influence on others who need it, you have that power, the medium and platform to do so. You choose not to and why? It’s easy to concentrate on yourself, to do everything for you and that includes being selfish and spoiled. Much as I respect your in-ring ability I can only see a nightmare in the making with you and a Trios Contract. I bet you’re happy Kelcey Wallace, my mentor retired, you probably wish Kennedy Street would go off to Hollywood? They were the ones who stopped you from becoming World Champion, right? Are you and Syren going to cut deals now too? After Breakdown, it makes me wonder if Sienna Swann has to grow eyes in the back of her head as well, a woman like you cant be trusted and all for what? Gloating? Everything must be petty, and I just don’t get it. I’m not going to stand here and claim victory or even think I am on the same level as you Bree….
I’m not but one thing I have that somewhere you lost along the way is heart, passion and a love for this business three qualities you haven’t shown in years, some make think that is cliche, guess what? It makes winners. This has to stop, it was one of the reasons I was so afraid to leave EMERGE, to prevent it from occurring there too. I couldn’t stop it, now I find myself in the middle of a war zone and I’ve already chosen sides. Bree, if this is what you want people to remember you by? Define your contributions you’re so proud of, then, by all means, go against everyone and anyone that ever had your back all for a contract because I am starting to believe….
That on skills alone, you can’t do it.
Which brings me to Syren, the World Champion. When I look at the qualities of a World Champion, I see the best wrestler in the ring, the leader of the locker room, the most charismatic, someone with desire, a true representative of the promotion they hold the top title. You have done it SEVEN times in your career. That Championship like the EMERGE title I held was a representation of the what this company stood for, it was for the fans, the wrestlers and most of all the history it represents. One day Syren, I want to be a World Champion too, maybe a Trios Contract will make it a reality? Or I could start at the bottom and work my way up. I was the face of EMERGE just like you are the face of the SCW….
And almost everyone wants to kick it off.
Syren, you were once a role model and someone that the people could get behind. Your charity work and all your messages of Being Awesome was something I admired as a trainee at Ante Up Academy. Your wars with Regan Street were what is made of legends and yeah, you will one day be inducted into the Hall of Fame. I wanted to be like you. Everyone I meet along the way I take a little knowledge from. I have watched some of the greatest athletes turn their back on the fans and those who supported them all these years for Championship Gold?
I want to be a Champion, I want to represent those that cannot step into the ring and fight for themselves, but I won’t do it at the cost of my soul. I won’t ever hold gold in the SCW at the cost of my morality. I will NEVER wear a Championship belt around my waist at the cost of my legacy, seeing my father look at me in disappointment all due to falling into a power-hungry state of desperation like you have Syren. I will never be like you, I don’t EVER want to be like you and if that means I must sacrifice all the same accolades, then I rather be that gal who never swayed from her goals, her path and will never be questioned for her antics….
Respect means more to me than entitlement.
That is why I will be at the top of my game and wrestle the best match of my life. No one expects us to get out of the first round, they think we are a bunch of pushovers, fine. I will promise you this Syren, I will do everything in my power to make sure a Trios Contract doesn’t fall in your hands like Bree. The contract is so important, it can make dreams become realities. When I arrived here, I was star-struck, like a little kid in a candy store, seeing this bigger than life personalities who compete on the highest level…..
And yet so many times on loop, the phrase, “Never meet your heroes….” Pops in my head over and over. People like Selena Frost, Kennedy and Regan Street, Chris Cannon, Owen Cruze, John Goddard and myself are an endangered species. Everyone wants and needs a play, an edge, management doing them favors, all for what?

A very serious and stern, also disappointed look on Peyton’s face can explain how she is feeling. Going into the Trios Tournament has become a huge undertaking she no longer fears. As the confidence grows more and more, Peyton is ready to show why she was the first and the last EMERGE Champion never defeated for the tile. She brushes her hair back some, taking a few deep breathes before looking back at the camera and speaking…..
“Tomorrow night is my chance to show the SCW and the people watching at home what I bring to the ring. I’m not Totally Awesome or Ambitchous, I’ll never be Perfect, Flawless or a Hellcat. I can’t be the Bad Bad Girl, a Goddess or a Heavenly Angel. My name is Peyton Rice. That might not sound exciting or enticing, it may not sell t-shirts or have catchphrases. It’s not catchy or rolls off the tongue. Mr. D wanted me to stand out, not get caught in all the “Beauty”, make a name for myself…

And after tomorrow night, ladies? When this team of underdogs shocks the world and wins the Trios Tournament?
